Nevertheless, the Georgian Soviet NKVD police chief under fellow Georgian and Soviet leader Stalin was particularly known for his extradordinary public appearances and his charming character. Before his tragic demise at the age of 54 he was again and again talked about in magazines and tabloids because of his marvelous haircuts.
